Safeguarding at Supply Teach

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.

At Supply Teach, we believe safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

We are fully committed to promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk, and to ensuring that every educator we place in a Derby or Derbyshire school has been thoroughly vetted, trained and cleared to work.

All of our processes comply with statutory government guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2025) and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.

References and Employment History

Qualification and QTS verification

Overseas police checks where applicable

Childcare Disqualification Declaration

Online and social media checks (when required)

We maintain secure, GDPR-compliant records of all checks in line with our DBS Certificate Handling Policy.

Supporting Your Single Central Record

We know how important your Single Central Record (SCR) is. When we place

an educator with your school, we provide a full compliance record containing

the evidence of all checks carried out, ready to drop straight into your SCR.

Every booking confirmation includes the safeguarding information your school

needs, so you can welcome our educators through the door with complete

confidence.

Our Safeguarding Commitment

Supply Teach has a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) and a Qualified and Registered Social Worker with Social Work England whom oversee all safeguarding matters across our business.

Our policies are reviewed at least every 12 months and updated in line with changes to legislation and government guidance.

We operate an open and transparent culture. Any safeguarding concern whether raised by a school, an educator or a member of our team is taken seriously, recorded accurately and reported to the appropriate authority when appropriate without delay.

We work in partnership with local authority children's and adult social care services to ensure those identified as at risk are protected.
